For Employers

Welcome to The Line!  We are the only talent agency in Los Angeles specializing in skilled and dependable chefs and line cooks of all levels of experience and culinary backgrounds.  Our goal for our client restaurants is to provide a competitive advantage in the increasingly difficult area of kitchen staffing.  We offer a specialized service focused on providing appropriately skilled candidates in a timely and efficient manner to help restaurants meet their staffing needs.

We thoroughly evaluate all chefs and cooks on our registry and sort them into one of five categories based on a number of factors including work history, references, skill evaluation, and our own interview process.  When necessary we conduct our own cooking tryout in the Park Restaurant kitchen. We determine the primary goals, interests, and motivations for each cook so we can match them to jobs that suit their needs.

We conduct in-person interviews with all client chefs and/or owners in order to visualize and understand your physical location in addition to your kitchen culture and experience.  We determine the specific needs of each individual client regarding the type of chef/cook who is best suited for your particular restaurant.  These interviews last about 20 minutes and involve a short survey as well as a kitchen tour.
